What goes around comes around...

What goes around comes around … bonuses as a freelance photographer come in many agreeable forms, particularly rewarding is the constant weaving of rendezvousing and photographing the same individual. From 1981 onwards as an apprentice photographer I was a regular visitor to the then many Cambridge locations of the Phillips owned Pye. One of the many people I met during visits to Pye was Joyce. She who was - and still is - an active member of the wider Cambridge community which is why I later photographed many a time in the late 80’s whilst employed as a press photographer. As a freelancer In 1994 I photographed Joyce with her husband in their new home during the ‘official opening’ event of their neighbourhood. Roll on to 2026 and last month when work serendipitously located me and my cameras back in Joyce’s home .. and what a pleasurable shoot it was and was a great day to be a ‘local photographer’.
